The jungle was hot. And it was raining. And his boots were full of mud, the radio strapped to Captain Roger's hip kept hissing, and while Mjolnir was hardly heavy it kept getting caught on branches. It was annoying, but after the morning they'd had, he would thank Gefion for the turn of luck they had, and accept the fact that right now, things were far less ideal. It had been easy to get to the other side of the fence, and while he'd not known at the time what exactly the night goggles were, there'd been a good hour of him holding up things and bits of the two Jeeps while everyone else told him what was needed.
They got all the supplies the cars had, and while they had no maps, the sign that pointed back to the Visitor's Center was pointed squarely back into the enclosure.
So, in short - back in he went, and now here they were. The rain'd started an hour ago, and he was trying to keep the conversation up and light - asking Steve about things with Sharon, talking to Mystique about how to get her the boomstick she'd so desperately wanted. And Spock... he just didn't talk to Spock. He and Kate were friends already, and he assumed it was his place to try and get everyone to speak, but he stopped abruptly, shifting Mjolnir up in his hands. The vibration was faint, and he didn't realise he was the only one who felt it... but then it was gone, and he shook his head. "Onward," he said lowly, even though it was only to himself.
