He had waited patiently for Steve to return from quarantine, to gather his thoughts from the difficulty that would arise from him both having to find Wolverine and Mystique. If Thor was not incorrect, he would have words for both of them, and even if Thor was not particularly concerned with the two of them, it was still an odd thing to be stabbed in the chest and come out of the other side put together.

Thor had experienced it, but he did not know if Steve had, and that's why he knocked on the edge of Steve's doorframe, his brows arching upward in expectation that the man would both be home - and fine enough, from how he was missing when they'd all come to.
